SECTION 07 — Chrome Browser Extension (Wolf Pak Capture)

The Wolf Pak Capture extension is designed to facilitate local data capture and automation. Our privacy model prioritizes local-first processing, ensuring your captured content remains under your control.

Data Handling & Interaction

  • User-Initiated Capture: The extension only accesses page content (text, images, or HTML) when you explicitly initiate a capture or automation. This data is used solely to generate your requested output.
  • Local Processing: All captured images and text are processed and stored on your local machine. We do not upload your capture content to our servers.
  • Localhost Bridge (127.0.0.1:9099): The extension communicates with the Wolf Pak Capture desktop application via a local-only connection. This allows for seamless data transfer between the browser and your desktop environment without the data ever leaving your computer.

License Verification & Security

To maintain your subscription, the extension connects to wolfpak-cloudbridge.vercel.app.

  • What is sent: Your license key and basic app metadata (e.g., version number).
  • What is NOT sent: No captured page content, browsing history, or form data is included in these requests.
  • Server Logs: Like most web services, our hosting provider (Vercel) may log standard connection data (such as IP addresses) for security, rate limiting, and abuse prevention.

Permissions Transparency

We request the following permissions only to enable the core features of the Wolf Pak Capture service:

  • activeTab / scripting: To read and capture content from the specific page you are viewing when you trigger an action.
  • storage: To save your extension preferences and workflow states locally.
  • downloads: To allow you to save captured assets directly to your computer.
  • clipboardWrite: To enable "Copy to Clipboard" functionality for extracted text.
  • pageCapture: To enable full-page MHTML archiving for offline access.

Limited Use Disclosure

Wolf Pak Capture uses and transfers information received from Google APIs to any other app in adherence to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Data is used strictly to provide user-facing capture features and is never sold to third parties or used for advertising.
